Transnational Programme
DESE (Developing Excellent Social Enterprise) is a European transnational partnership funded by EQUAL. C3 was a member of this partnership and was involved in sharing good practice with the European partners. The legacy of this partnership is a website; www.Exchange2Improve.eu. The website has a bank of good practice examples in English from Social Enterprises across Europe including Finland, Germany, Austria and Italy. The good practice examples capture improvements made as a result of the performance improvement processes as well as resources such as questionnaire templates and tools used in the self-assessment process. The website is funded by EQUAL.

EQUAL is part of the European Union’s strategy for more and better jobs and for ensuring that no-one is denied access to them. Implemented in and between Member States and funded through the European Social Fund since 2001, this initiative is testing new ways of tackling discrimination and inequality experienced by those in work and those looking for a job. The building blocks of EQUAL are partnership, innovation, empowerment, transnationality, and mainstreaming of best practice.
