The C3Perform Toolkit offers you a tailor made range of resources and downloadable tools, together with advice and tips, all designed to help third sector organisations assess their performance, develop an action plan and improve.
The toolkit is organised into 4 sections in line with the 4-stage process used by the C3Perform approach.
• Prepare - it is worth investing time in preparation to ensure the self-assessment process is successful, this means selecting the right tools and the right approach for your organisation depending on several factors: time you have available to do it; level of detail you want to go into; who needs to be involved in the process; your organisation’s culture; the maturity of your management systems.
• Self-Assess - consists of assessing your organisation against the broad criteria of the Excellence Model. Different tools offer different approaches to self-assessment, either focusing on a dialogue of strengths and areas for improvement or on scoring. See this section to view and download the C3Perform self-assessment tools.
• Action Plan - is key to helping you plan how to implement the areas for improvement identified during the self-assessment process. Participants from the self-assessment process should be invited to take part in the action planning session, which should take between 2 to 4 hours. Action planning involves: agreeing what actions will be taken forward for each area for improvement; who will be responsible for each action; when it will be completed; what other resources may be necessary to make this happen. View and download action planning tools in this section.
• Improve – how to implement the proposed improvements will be outlined in your Action Plan. Some improvements may be ‘quick fixes’, others may be part of longer term plans and may need to be revisited regularly. A number of tools are available to help you implement specific improvements.
